What are harmonics?

Harmonics are currents or frequencies present in your breaker panel which don’t belong there.

Why have I never heard of them?

Unless you are in the electrical service business, you probably have never heard of Harmonic distortion, but it has been around since the 60’s.  It has only recently become problematic enough to affect most consumers.


Why should I be concerned?

Approximately 8-20% of your power bill is wasted.  Also, harmonic distortion is damaging to virtually everything electronic.


How can I remove harmonics?

An inductive electrical filter, installed “closest to the load” has been proven to be the most cost-effective way to reduce or eliminate harmonics.


Are electrical filters dangerous?

Our electrical filter is installed on the neutral bus bar in the sub-panels (breaker panels) and has no moving parts and uses no current. Therefore it is completely safe. Since it uses no current, it emits no dangerous EMF or any kind of radiation.
